[scribus] White text over colour

Hi
All was going well, until I wanted white page numbers over a graduated colour box.

When I set the text colour to white - the whole box goes white.

Someone please help explain how to get white text in a transparent box, over a colour. I am using Paragraph styles for the page number, text fill white. Shape has none selected as the fill, but as soon as you put text in it, the text box turns completely white

I was doing it like that - the problem was when I applied a Paragraph Style that I had created for Page Numbers, the box turns white. So I deleted that style and replaced it with a Character Style and all works OK now. Must have got a glitch in the first paragraph style some how.

Good to have you guys with such prompt service - amazing.

Do it a little bit easier.
Create a textframe, give it background-colour. Open Text editor, write a
figure, give it the clour you want.
