[scribus] Scribus and SVGs

Just a question: Can Scribus handle SVGs?

I have 1.4.something on my system and tried to load an SVG into a
picture frame. Somehow did not offer .svg in the Open dialog.

Do I have to use Inkscape to make a pixel version out of it, or could
1.5.x do it?

Thanks for any hints.

Rolf

Yes but since it's a vector format, you ought to use the file > import menu entry.

Only main features of svg will be handled.
Many modern attributes are not handled.
So it could be Ok, or not, depending on your svg.

Better export to PDF rather than pixel version,
and import the PDF.

Save the SVG as pure-SVG from Inkscape, or if your final product is
going to a MacOS-dependent printshop I'd opt for EPS (just to be sure).
Import that into Scribus.
